Sasha and Malia are getting their dog
So, all of the fuss has settled down around the new family in the White Hose, at least so you’d think. The really important business, the family dog, is still being decided on and is the topic of much blogging. The family has settled on a breed, according to reports, but not necessarily an exact dog. So Sasha and Malia Obama get their dog at last: they are planning on adopting a rescue Portuguese water dog, although it should be noted that those dogs are probably less likely to be found in dog shelters.

The Portuguese water dog is generally considered to be a funloving dog with a lot of energy, you’ll be delighted to learn. Michelle Barlak, a public relations manager for the American Kennel Club notes the following: ‘It’s a great family dog, but they have to understand the dog will require quite a bit of exercise. … Two young girls who are very active are good companions for the dog.’ Sasha and Malia Obama get their dog on April 7th. I for one was not previously familiar with this particular breed, and how the choice came about is shrouded in mystery. Apparently. Now comes the tricky decision of whether to name the beast Frank or Moose, both of which have received disapproval from Mrs. Obama.
