Social networks improve English skills in Thailand
Thailand: Even those students who don’t own their own computers seem to find ways to network socially on the Internet in their free time. Flickr is one of these social networking systems, and it has recently been used for English language learning and cultural awareness. Last year, at a conference in Bangkok’s King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Alec McAulay gave a presentation on teacher-generated podcasts that was to lead to a project involving teachers from Japan, Thailand, Bali and Hong Kong.
