|Details||The American University of Iraq invites applications from certified ESL teachers to join the faculty of our English Writing Program and Language Institute in September 2009.|

|Description||The American University is a new school in Sulaimani in the northern Iraq region of Kurdistan. The area is safe and hospitable, and our students are eager and enthusiastic learners. We expect 250 new students in September for our rapidly expanding program. The University offers a competitive salary, health insurance, travel and moving expenses, and a collegial atmosphere. Housing is in modern, secure three-bedroom villas with all necessities and travel to and from campus provided.
Job responsibilities include teaching basic English (with emphasis on writing) 30 hours per week on one of four levels, from beginner to pre-academic, and contributing to a happy, adventuresome faculty. Teaching obligation is September – December and January-June with the summer off. Our goal is to prepare students to score 550 on the Internet TOEFL exam at the end of our four-semester program.
